What is the purpose of the little touch button thing? Is it just there for fun? or does it have a purpose im overlooking? Thanks!

If you touch it before getting out of your car, you dont get shocked, My bros Toyota shocks me evertime I get out of it, It needs a Touch button, It is grounded so you are relieved of static build up. <P>

yeah my x-girlfriend was a dits and she would touch thinking something would happen but i told her its for static shock.
