KLZE & K8 weight difference?

Just wanting to know the weight difference between the klze and the k8...anyone

I hear there is only like a 40 pound difference

A KLZE weight's 126kg's with oil
without IM or Ac pump, power steering pump
and alternator.

intake mainafold weights 15kgs
the rest i will weight over the next few days
rear hatch weights 40kgs!

Will have to wait a while for me to weight the
K8 as the engine lift frame has the mazda under
it up on axle stands..

12-20lbs if that, only real difference is the crank.

same sized block & heads & valve covers. Manifold might have slightly mor mass on the KL's than the K8's but the larger bore of the KL's would make up for that easily.

I've yet to see anyone actually weigh them both against each other but i firmly believe there is no more than a 15 lb difference between the two motors.

Gro ive just got to split the tranny off the K8 and all
the axuliary parts and flywheel then i will do a weight
of the motor.

Currently doing a weight of most parts as they are being pulled
off and biffed more just for interest, but more to answer a lot
of questions ive seen posted on the board, and want to give
accurate data not guess work as ive seen
