V6 Mx3 Solid Urethane Transmission Mounts Part 2!!

Post by nolanspawn »

I aplogize to everyone for this project getting put on the back burner. This race season has taken up alot of the fabrication time. Here is the origional thread regarding these: http://www.mx-3.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=15;t=004192

If you hadnt already seen here is what the mounts for the 2nd Gen Probe/Mx6 looks like that I had made, picture is just for refference:
<img src="http://www.ntpoc.com/nolanspawn/pics/awrmounts.jpg" alt=" - " />

If I can get confirmation from 15-20 SERIOUS buyers for these mounts I can get prototype done and test fitten by the end of the week and production done right after. So if you are interested in these PLEASE post here. The only mounts being made are the front and rear "transmission mounts"...they will be roughly around $135 per set. The prototype set is being made from a stock set of V6 MTX mounts. Can someone confirm that either the ATX mounts are the same or different from the MTX mounts?

***ADMINS***
This is not a BB thread....these will not be posted for sale until I get the go ahead from you to start a Bulk Buy in a few weeks.

Mount Specs
Mounts will be made with stronger and thicker materials than stock. Unsure of what guage steel yet. They will be made to handle far more TQ than stock. Even if you were pumping out 600HP you would not be able to bend the mount housing. The mounts will have a solid urethane core.

I am in for my own mx3 project, and I could probably sell you many as well.

I would like these, but I still have a question. No one has really addressed the issue of weather these are too hard. Will they make the engine vibrate too much? I'm down with performance mods of corse but one thing I've learned is not to over-do it... (stiff springs for example) Thanks.

Would be nice if you could make a set and test them out first, I think we're all afraid to start snapping axles and our teeth rattling.

Well Im the guy who sent you the V6 mounts in the first place and you said you had about 20 front ones done and you were starting on the rear. You haven't returned my e-mails about the deal we worked out. Are they ready or not?
