Header bolt torque..

Header bolt torque..
Hmm... So when I was bolding the rear header to my ZE (for EGR) I wasn't really thining about it, and didn't think to check the torque specs... In the shop man ual they say 16-18ftlbs. That's not tight at all. Now, I wasn't using a torque wrench, so i don't know how what they actually are, but i got them pretty light with a 12" 1/2 socket wrench, maybe 45-60ftlbs.. Now that the motor is in, I'm wondering if this is going to cause any problems... Maybe crack the header? Maybe warp it and get a leak?? arg....

thats pretty tight, the reason the torque is so low on them is to allow expansion/contraction as the engine heats and cools...

plus they are fine thread and enough of em to not need alot more torque
