A Couple Aftermarket ZE Part Q's
Engine Mounts: I want something a little stiffer than stock, but still soft enough so I don't get alot of vibration at idle. I choose Mazdaspeed motor mounts. The V6 mounts are the ones for my ZE, right? The only place I've found them is Corksport for $299. Any better deals?
Cold Air Intake: HotShot's CAI costs $170 at RR-Racing and looks decent. Street-Import has one for the Integra that looks nice as well. It goes for ~$94 + ~$26(necessary adapters) = ~$120. I think this might be the one Babyblue has. I would get the Hotshot CAI for about $20 less because I'll be buying my headers from there also (combo deal). Any feedback on these?
Underdrive Crank Pulley:
RR-Racing: $138 +$10sh
Corksport: $199 +$?sh
TopspeedAuto: $109 +?sh
Anyone have feedback or know any differences between these?

Will the hotshot headers fit from RR-Racing? I thought probe headers were a little longer or something and had problems with fitting on the MX3.

Engine mounts: buy some "windo-weld" urethane window sealant from advance auto parts and use it to fill in your existing mounts. It will firm them up and reduces engine movement, but still won't transmit much vibration to the chassis of the car.
Intake: make your own!! I bought a 88-91 Civic Si intake and cut it in a couple of spots using a pipe cutter I "borrowed" from Autozone (they have a loan-a-tool service). I bought some silicone couplers from hosetechniques.com and used those to connect the intake together. It sounds excellent and is routed into the fenderwell to get more cold air.

Underdrive pulley: Everyone on Probetalk who has dyno'ed before/after has basically proved that these do NOTHING for power whatsoever. Unless you want to save a couple of pounds of the weight of your motor, don't even bother...they are a waste of time and money and people even say they have problems with the "harmonic balancer" noises that is part of the OEM crank.

I agree with Gro about the underdrive pulley. I have a friend of mine who bought the UO pulley and dropped 450 dollars on it to find out he only gained .5 hp and 0 torque. Not worth the money or aggrevation if you ask me. As for the mounts, Gro had a really good idea but would would that do if you put the same sealant in the MS motor mounts. As for the the headers I have heard the Hot Sot headers will blot up fine and you only have to move the rear section(from the catback) back about 6-8 inches.

Hey Gro that silver canister that is next to the intake in that picture, is that an aftermarket radiator over flow. If it is can you tell me where to get one.

Thanks, guys. I really hadn't heard about the pulley; I was wondering if it really did much: thanks! As for the mounts, I really need new ones. Mine are in bad shape and have a good bit of rust on them. CAI: I've planned on routing mine into the fenderwell also. I think I'm going with the Integra-type Intake. Headers: I've seen a couple mx-ers with hotshots installed. I'll be gutting the stock exhaust totally and installing a 2.5 with highflow/maybe gutted cat and split ends on the back just for looks.

I was going to go with the SRD mounts off street-import mostly because I was going to be getting a few other things from them as well and didn't want to have to bother with multiple shipments.
Anyone heard anything bad/good about them?

If I remember correctly, they are pretty stiff, which will help with launching somewhat, but will cause more vibration, especailly at idle.

My front motor mount was actually ripped. All I did was fill it with construction grade polyurethane i bought at home depot. Absolutely no wheel hop whatsoever, no vibration at idle, very little engine tilt under load.

The thing is, I've never done anything like that before. Did you remove all the rubber from the mounts? How did you go about filling them? I'm really in the dark lol!

the canister is for coolant overflow. I got it off ebay (where else?).
filling your mounts is easy. Just remove them from your car (support the engine using a jack w/wood block), and then squirt in some urethane stuff into the holes & crevices of the mount. Don't inject it completely full though, just half way. Let it cure overnight & fill the rest of the mount in all the way. If you fill the mount in all at once, it can take a week or more to cure.
I didn't even realize SRD made engine mounts for the V6...i'm an idiot.
