greetings from South Australia
well what a great community you guys seem to have in here. I've read through a few posts and although im not up with all the lingo yet i'm sure with your help i'll be on the way to some improvements for my Eunos 30X S
heres the lowdown
This weekend im flying to sydney to pick up my new car and drive it back to Adelaide. that might not mean much to most of you american folk but its around 1500km.
the specs are as follows -
RED 96 30X Sport
1.8 litre V6
ODO - 85000km
custom exhaust with mendrel bend
lowered / king springs
17" chromes
lovely stereo with sub, amp etc.
numberplate - RAPID (gotta wait 10 days for it to get made up)
heres a few pics for you to look at:
<img src="http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/acrepai ... eunos1.jpg" alt=" - " />
<img src="http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/acrepai ... eunos2.jpg" alt=" - " />
<img src="http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/acrepai ... eunos3.jpg" alt=" - " />
<img src="http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/acrepai ... eunos5.jpg" alt=" - " />
<img src="http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/acrepai ... unos10.jpg" alt=" - " />
<img src="http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/acrepai ... unos14.jpg" alt=" - " />
<img src="http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/acrepai ... unos20.jpg" alt=" - " />
<img src="http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/acrepai ... unos24.jpg" alt=" - " />
just like a few others in this forum i'd like to add either a single or twin turbo & perhaps NOS - just a note NOS is illegal in SA here so i'll weigh this up in a few months to come....
I look forward to learning some of the tricks of the trade & chatting to you all soon
cheers Paul

That's a very cherry looking car. I'm not a big fan of aftermarket bodywork, but those skirts actually look very slick even. Only thing I'd change on that car is the headunit. I don't know what people would want to put silver headunits in an all black interior.
Just ugly.

An easy upgrade to your engine is a 2.5 liter KLZE. It's way easier than a turbo setup and adds ~70hp.
The top part of that nose piece I really like- the way it slants and extends the nose really adds to the car. I'm not a big fan of the lower parts combat look. Thats just my opinion though. If you like it run with it!

Re: greetings from South Australia
j/k bro, but that's a sweet ride, especially for someone just starting off. Like TsiMiata said, your easiest track to power would be a KL-ZE swap, and if you really needed more power than that, NOS (though illegal) or a small turbo setup should be more than enought power to keep almost any Mx'er happy
Good Luck and welcome to the board!

Idle speed on no-load should be 640-700 rpm, and with aircon on 720-780 rpm. The ECU knows when the aircon is on, and opens up a bit on the Idle Speed Control Valve. It could be this is not happening for you, in which case the mechanic suggesting the problem is related to the ECU is sensible.Originally posted by SprintKing:
....so heres the next saga - when i purchased the car i was told about the car not having any gas in the aircon. So i booked it into the mechanics and got it regassed. Apon driving it home the car was stalling (only with aircon turned on) i was told they want to do plug in the ECU. Although it seems aparrent to me that its definately the aircon because it only stalls when this is on.
What u guys think i should do? A friend of mine suggests to take it to mazda and let them sort it out.
Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!

got my quote for twin garret turbos with all the bit n pieces - between 10-12K from about 99kw to around 230kw. I was expecting around 6K so now i have to look @ my visa should i wish to proceed. I can live with it i spose considering this would be one of the very few things i would do for this car.
any 1 with a link to a eunos 1.8l V6 with twin turbos?
