speedo and tach problem

Post by TURBOst »

hey, today me speedo and tach stopped working, i think it's either because i washed the engine today or because i was playing with the seatbelt box under the driver's seat and caused a big spark. I don't know what caused it, but i was wondering if anyone knows how to fix it. I assumed it was a fuse or something but i can't find a fuse for that and there isn't any info listed in my repair manual. please help me out!!

well i found out it was the meter fuse, but when i installed the fuse in the engine ran really ****ty and stutters while accelerating. It was running fine before all this happened and it ran fine when the meter fuse was broken. I tried reseting the ecu but it didn't work, any ideas?

same thing happened to me after i washed my engine. Pull the plug wires and see if their is any water in the plug cylinders. If so you'll have to replace the wire and plug due to corosion.

P.S. you'll have to drain the water with a vampire pump before you pull the plug.
