New car

Post by Platwire »

i am about to buy my first car. Its a 95 mx3 and i have a few questions. First off what does GS or RS mean?(probly getting those letters wrong) How much should i expect to pay for one of these with 69k miles in very good condition. one of the problems with it is that you have to hold the door handle on the passanger side up to lock it. I have heard that you can get a report of history on used cars on the net, any idea on the adress? well dont wanna make it too long i guess for my first post so thanks in advance for any help =) ohh yeah one last question, how much does it cost to get a car painted to a new color =D
btw sorry for awful spelling

Well withthe door handle, Thats how you lock em on a Mazda. An RS is 4cly and a GS is a 6cly. You can pay around $5500-$6500 for a Rs and maybe $5800 - $7300 for a GS
These are just approx guesses, It all depends on how much the seller is willing to get rid of it. Im sure youll like either one you choose. Chris

A paint job varys a lot depending where you go and the quality of the job. You could get one for 200$ and get it back the same day, or you could pay 2,000$ and it would take over a month. All depends on the quality you want and how much you're willing to pay for it.

The only thing I know about is the door handles, it isn't something wrong with the car. It's a feature of the car, it allows you to have a less chance of leaving your keys in the car, because you have to remember to lift the handle up so it locks. My grandma's Nissan Maxima is like that also, many MX-3's have that feature. Other than that, I am no help to you.

Only when it is stopped though and with a/c ON. When I turned the a/c off it stopped shaking. its a 4cylinder. thankyou again in any help you tell me!! you guys are great! =)

awww man. i just did a carfax report on the car... looks like it had 147,000 miles on it like about six months ago... so the lady lied to me about the miles and about how she had the car for 2 years. It looked very clean and in great condition. glad i didnt buy it. the good news is that now i know that the mx3 are good for at least 147,000 miles Image lol. Now back to car searching > Image that mx3 looked so cool too Image Image Image

Man Thats Alot Of Miles! Mine is a 94 with 118,000 and I drive alot, and for a 95 with 147,000 , WOW, She must have known about cars or somethin, probabvly bought a used speedometer cluster from a salvage yard with low miles on it, cause it take for ever to round miles off, exspecially 80,000 miles off of it.
