kl03 or klze??

Post by Black Magic »

Please help me out, I've been searching a couple of hours by now and I just can't find a satisfying answer. Today a bought a 2.5 engine, It has the Millenia Intake manifold, with big square runners and the curved neck. But can I tell from this if it's an klze or just a kl03?
I hope someone can help me out, thanks

That's the problem, it doesn't say kl31. But normally square runners only come with the ZE's?

Most 95+ Millenia's will have KL31 on the heads, you just have the KL01 cams and semi/dished pistons.
[ August 03, 2003: Message edited by: Zoso124 ]

Hiya, guys...
Sorry if I'm out of line, but is this the right spot to ask a couple of questions regarding an engine swap?
If so, and I want to go from my 1.8 to a Mazda 2.5, what year provides the easiest swap, and is the better engine year?
Thank you for your tolerance...

To Zoso, so you are saying the only difference whith the klze will be different pistons? So if I change the pistons and ecu I will be able to get the 198 hp? How much hp can I pull out of the Millenia Engine?

So you're saying there's no easy way to get the klze power out of a Millenia engine? That sucks!

yes u can.. change the pistons, put in some interprep cams, you should have more power than a ZE. w/ motor, pistones, and cams +install, your looking @ more than the price of a ZE.
