1.8 life span

1.8 life span

I am just curious about the life span on the 1.8 mine is now sitting at 220,000 klm aprox 125,000 miles. has anyone got 300 or more without major repairs.

hey,<BR>i have 195,000 miles so i don't know exactly how many kilometers that is, but the biggest repair i have had is replacing the water pump

i guess it all depends on how u treat it...if you beat the crap out it constantly, it wont last as long...if it's taken care of and maintained (oil changes, etc), it's a pretty strong engine

i have 205000 km on mine and i have been beating it to death since 150000kms including auto-x running on the rev limiter and drag days and track days and shes still going has some problems starting once and awhile but thats all! me don;t really care cause my ze is here!

IMPORTFORLIFE. <BR> I think you have this high milage in the bag with nearly 320 km. I have to know if you ever fixed that awful tick coming from the cams? and if not how bad has it gotten?

use mazda oil filters with mobil 1 synthetic<BR>oil

Yeah thats exactly it. Its all in how its been treated. There's green mx-3 in my area thats has a little over 300,000km and its running good. There are some poroblems starting to happen but nothing serious. :cool:

I got 275km and it aint even drinkin a ml of oil so Im hoping that thats good
