well, with my first mx i did this, it really wouldn't make it any much more diffulcult to steal, prolly easier since they would see it quicker but. Right behind the center console theres that little higher piece, I mounted my ps2 standing right there, just made alittle custom painted black wood clamp for it. Other then that your gonna have to go really custom, I'm makin an aluminum rack with a lower bar and upper bar to go between my rear speakers and it's gonna sit in there.

I dont own one but im gonna take a shot in the dark and ask if it has a kensington port on it, its port to lock down easilly stealable devices, common in the PC world with Monitors, Slim desktops, notebook and external devies, palm polits/pocket pc's, maybe your pc2 will have one...it looks like this

You can get combination or keylocks for them, and if you get a good one, the cable is impossible to cut.

WHen i get a change this summer, im gonna take the whoe dash apart and make a custom bracket to used one of thoss cables on my deck

there's not Kengston port on the PS2.

I had mine under the seat and I wasn't too worried about it b/c if they broke in my car they'd steal other things that cost me more. If you are worried about it, fibgerglass a shroud around it and drill that do the floor. But still if they want it and have any tools the can hack at the glass until it's gone. Normally extra security measures can envoke theives to just get mad and then they may just start hacking at random stuff just out of anger. I've seen thieves leave a car w/ a screwdriver through factory panels just b/c they got pissed b/c they couldn't get stuff they wanted.

Remember thieves are dumb to begin with so they don't act like normal human beings. I'm actually convinced they aren't human beings at all.

But maybe thats what you want? My car is rarely parked no more than a 10second run and within alarm-hearing distance. If i can't discourage him breaking into my car, i wanna keep him longer in my car, and the longer hes in your car, the better chance he'll get caught, either by yourself or someone else, especially if the alarm is going off. I'd rather have my, say, deck broken with anger and discourage a thieft from comming back, than to just pay for the deck which would be stolen, cause either way, im paying.

When the nice days start becomming more frequent, one of my projects for my car is to reinforce and redundancise my car's alarm system making is difficult to disarm and make the valuable components difficult to remove.
