I found thatTrend Micro. Is really good. I do Tech support, and its the #1 Anti-virus we recommend. Its free and its online, so no need to install anything. Hope this helps.

I have never heard a complaint about Trend Micro. They are the same company that created PC-Cillin, I know first hand that it is a better program then Norton. I have seen it detect and clean viruses that Norton's couldnt find. I work in a Call center of about 1200 people. Id say about 1/4 of them are in Tech support, and all of them absolutely love Trend Micro or AVG. We have only horror stories about Norton's.

The good thing about norton is quick updates, and real time protection, plus you can configure it to only delete if you tell it too. If you can get a corporate version someone do that, thats what I use, and it takes up less system resources, has less bs in it, and does a wicked job of virus protection. If your looking for something free tho, and has real time protection check out AVG ( just search google for AVG antivirus).
ive actually just used avg and it deleted my internet program and all other, windows player, etc etc, had to reinstall everything, took me while to fix it all back up.

2 things
turn on auto updates.....(or if using dial up..just rember to update)

& adware or spam search & destroy

I used norton......but remeber to put in more memory...& if u are running a netork install some sort of network diagnostic that keeps track of port scans & pinging (found this out the hard way....even though i was behind 2 firewalls..dont ask...but thanks barry for your help)
