I just had to share my news...my RB25DET finally showed up at my doorstep! Now to just get a few days to take the time to drop it in right. Ugh...cant wait...my private lil mini skyline...

Now all I have to do is decide on how much extra work I wanna do to get it driving...I've got a new radiator, and a FMIC and piping on the way..should be here in about a week or so..or do I wanna just drop all the R33 parts in and drive around...to just have to pull em back out for the new aftermarket parts...

Isnt it an RB26DETT?? Maybe you got a different one or something but I've never even heard of an RB25DET...

Nope, it's an RB25DET...found in the R33 skyline...the GT-S I think it is. The RB26's are in the R34 GT-R's I think. Nearly the same motor...small differances. I coulda done an RB26 swap..but that takes more fabrication than I really have the time or money for. The RB25 is pretty much plug and play..just have to do some minor fabrication. Also need to get the driveshaft made. Do a search for RB25DET and you'll probably find a crapload of info about it. And Sport Compact Car did an article about doing the swap a few months back. Thats what really made me want to go ahead and do it. That and the fact that..I've never seen one swapped in down in Florida..probably is...but I aint seen it done.

yes...and for the 240 world rb25 is an easier swap than the rb26 is...i know the only rb26 swap that was functioning...too bad the car came off the trailor and is a wreck.

Whee...I love waiting on paint shops that take longer than they're supposed too....Didnt end up with enough spare time this weekened to drop the new engine in...I really have to get my hands on my own paint room...

there were 4 RB motors in the R32, R33 and R34s that i know of and i think i got where they all went

RB26DETT - all R32 to 34 GT-R
RB25DET - R33 R34 GTS-T
RB25DE - R32 R33 GT25
RB20DET - R32 GTS-T R32 GTS4
