I'd take the head back to the shop that rebuilt it.. check your reciept.. if they charged you for them and didnt put them in.. dayum but I would cause them a world of hurt LOL

Another thing you could try would be to uninstall your DSL modems USB drivers and reinstall them.. could be a pain and if you do decide to do this.. right click on "Network Neighborhood" choose properties goto the TCP/IP properties and write down your IP address and Subnet Mask and Default...

Btw.. if you ever get the chance.. you should replace your USB connection with a Ethernet connection (different cable type.. faster connection speed)

Sounds like you are using a router then. Try this.. click your start button, click run.. type in CMD and hit enter.. this will open up your command line dos window.. type in Ping 63.105.73.229 (This is the IP address of that web site.. we are checking for basic connectivity at this point.)
