Super Quiet Exhaust- on install of everything including cat

I finally got my entire exhaust replaced on the 1993 mx-3 rs and thought anyone else needing to do the same may want to know how it turned out.

I was initially going to replace only the resonator (presilencer) but found out that the muffler had a weld job so that needed to be replaced as well.
Then ...

Just asking because it didn't look like the org. We'll see, I'm not a fan of loud cars.

Exhaust Presilencer vs resonator

I have to replace my exhaust including the cat.

I got the Walker center unit but it looks like it has a resonator on it instead of the presilencer (or center muffler as some say).

What's the difference between the stock presilencer vs using the Walker replacement part which has a resonator on it ...

Ok,

Sounds good. Sounds like a job for new wiring and a jig saw. Glad I pulled those speaker grills out of the trash.

Damn,

Too bad I didn't read that article before. Not only do the rear speakers not provide more bass than the front, they are also the slightly more expensive woofer, midrange, tweeter 3 ways. I have already turned the tremble down on the stereo because it sounded too tinny. I could have ...

Rear speakers not that great

I know the speakers I got are not the best brand in the world, I'm not looking for thumping bass...just decent performance.

I have a Panasonic 4 way 40 watt head.

I replaced the two front speakers with 2 pyle 5.25 speakers. Max 120 watts(yeah right). These speakers actually sound pretty decent.

I ...

How to clean out your blower fan screen grill / vent intake

I've been trying to figure out how to clean out the grill on top of the vent intake to the interior blower fan. It's the only thing between the intake blower fan and the outside. Couldnt find it on the site so here it is.

It looks like a wire screen. Yours is probably covered with leaf debris ...

Obstruction

Took apart. Power to fan via cable. Fan tested inside and worked.
That obstruction sound I heard actually was, Helicopters on fan probably causing it to bind.

Now just need to clean out top guard.

Incidentally, That plastic area on the back of motor that pops off is a good place to oil the bearing ...

Heater Blower going, going. gone?

My heater blower seems to have went out.

It would occasionally blow at a reduced speed but would turn on at any position (Just running slower than expected). It also made kind of a clicking sound at times (almost like a leaf obstruction) At other times it would run normally.

Then it started not ...

My car does this same thing sometimes but only before it reaches normal operating temperature. When i let it off in neutral it will shoot down to below 200 rpm, stall and then see-saw back up. Until it warms up.

During winter I really noticed it. The car was drastically revving up and down while ...

Yeah, it is on the opposite side of the engine than the distributor.
It could be something else but there is so little oil there I am inclined to think the oil is slowly seeping right from the spot. i would be happy indeed if it was the distributor gasket!

Perhaps I should clean the area up and ...

you probably have a front or rear main seal oil leak. Generally an oil leak is not indicative of a head gasket...

the oil didn't look splattered on the engine, it had a small amount on the lower left front seam area where the head gasket should be. It appeared to be seeping out of the seam.

And ...
