I hate letting other people work on my baby too, but one guy at my dealership is actually pretty cool. He's around 50 or so and loves my Mxs; He always asks me about my swap and says how bad he wants to see it when I'm done (about a month left).
I just got my driver's belt replaced for free too.

and do it NOW. The guy I got my GS from said it had that same problem. 5th gear died altogether about a month later; ground all the way out. Don't wait!

Thanks, got three helmets already. Unfortunately I always have to get the newest Snell Approved helmet to be allowed on the track. Ditto. I race go-karts... not the shifter karts - cost too much - but I have a couple baaad ones. 115mph on Daytona Int. Speedway at about 1" off the ground = nuck...

Heh, when I saw that commercial and heard the guy say he's done a cold air intake, catback exhaust, sound system...etc. I started thinking. These guys don't have alot more than that they can do to their cars; it's sad really. Without the rush of performing an engine swap that adds 70hp for $2K (thou...

Mine came from sunsengines. It was $1200 shipped, but came very clean... I just don't have it running yet.

Actually, many of us DO put a vent in to direct fresh air into the fenderwell, where the CAI cone is.
Still most people know that a CAI is mostly just for the sound.

I put it in the other day. The O-ring swapped over fine, and, yes, I made sure the air bleeder thingy was pointed up. :2thumbsup:

Half the flow capacity... what does that mean exactly?

I almost got mine from there, but someone else bought one right before I did and went through hell with them. Not a good rep. on this board.

I was thinking it'd be something like that. They look really similar, but there are slight differences (prob. nothing altering performance but just because they're made by different companies). I'll try swapping that gasket; worth a try. Thanks. :2thumbsup:

Quick Thermostat Q.

I bought the thermostat for the K8/KL-DE from Autozone. It came with a paper gasket; the one I took out of my ZE has a rubber ring-like gasket around it. I like the ring gasket better (tighter fit), but I don't know where to (if even I can) find it. Is everyone else running the one from the DE with ...

I ran KLY ECU in my ZE for over 4 years now and no problem. Your's doesn't fit? Don't want to be rude, but I don't know what that means in regard to my problem. It's my distributor. Everyone says to use the K8 disty, but when I put it on my KL-ZE (it does fit) the cam timing's off by at least ten d...
