Re: Need advice
Well I've had vac issues prior to this and the car idle surged and that was it. I've replaced the vac lines to the best of my ability and have a custom cold air intake on the car that I moved the other day (taped it forward cause the MAF sensor plug kept jiggling out and disconnecting which kills th...

Need advice
My 92 mx3 gs this morning started perfectly fine and sounded normal, I drove to the store and when I restarted the car, it "gurgles" sound from the muffler and especially when taking off. This thing hesitates to get up to speed also but has moments where it acts fine (no gurgling) but only...

Re: Alternator always dies
Any suggestions on what king/size farad capacitor? I don't know too much about them and would appreciate some direction. As far as the alternator goes, I think it was reman when he bought it and I'm unsure if the ones that he swapped out under the warranty are reman or not. Is it a bad idea to open ...

Re: Alternator always dies
Yeah it's a V6, I'm gonna attempt to clean up any grounds, I think they auto place is going to be pissed seeing as this will be either the 3rd or 4th warranty on this alternator. My brother replaced it a few times when he had the car, I believe it's caused by the amp draining the s--- out of the sys...

Alternator always dies
Well my brother had my car (1992 Mazda MX-3 GS) and replaced the alternator twice, I do run subs and an amp and the charge light flickers on and off and I'm suspecting that the alternator is about to go out again, of course I will test it prior to replacing. I was wondering if there is any reason it...

Re: help asap! very strange idle only when in gear?
Okay, not gonna lie I was lazy and didn't read a lot of the posts, but from the sounds of it your experiencing the same thing I did a few months back. I was stuck buying a new TPS, cleaning almost everything in the engine I could, and ended up finding out that the vacuum hoses that lay under the Int...

Re: Distributor compatability?
If I recall correctly, yes. As long as the engine is the same. I think I took one off of a PGT with a Mazda V6 and it worked the same (I ended up replacing it with a brand new one after a bit though).

Re: Window issues...
One question. I'm going tomorrow to the junkyard, is there any similiar vehicle that has the exact regulator/motor as my 92 mx-3 GS? Especially since I'm thinking I won't find one up there.

Re: Window issues...
I bet it burnt out because of the button. My control is just the circuit board and sliders and I have to use a pencil to push the pins up and down to make the window move, and the one that goes down had the spring fall out, so when the window went down all the way I'd have to hurry up and pull the s...

Re: Window issues...
Yeah, I think I'm going to try there first, the problem is that they usually never have MX-3's and if they do, they are COMPLETELY stripped from top to bottom. Is there any vehicle that matches this window type that you know of that I could look out for? I know the Ford Probe GT Engine is usually co...

Re: Window issues...
Ok. I took the stuff apart, this is the piece that has broken (it screws at the top through the bottom-center of the window) http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/1655/mx3brokenregulatorpiece.jpg Also, when I push up/down on my window control, the entire thing (is it the regulator AND motor?) http://im...

Re: Window issues...
Actually, looking more closely at a picture of a regulator I think that may be the part I need. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-96-MX-3-Front-Manual-Window-Regulator-LH-RH-Pair-Set-/130557395666?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AMazda|Model%3AMX-3&hash=item1e65d3c2d2 It loo...

Re: Window issues...
Uhmm, that part I think is okay. There is a plastic piece bolted onto the glass in the center-bottom and it comes downward and onto a metal rail. If I decide to take it apart over the weekend I'll try to take some pics and upload them. The only parts I can find are those that are the regulator or mo...

Window issues...
Firstly, Sorry if this is the wrong section to put this in, I didn't find a more relevant one so I decided to post it here please move it if necessary. I recently have had issues with my window having a tough time going up (although the window motor is definitely working and the window parts that ho...
