My mechanic thought a signal may not be reaching the computer from the engine. He split the wires and bypassed one of the modules; I think that's the best way to explain. So in other words, it's direct wiring from the engine to the computer. But it's still flashing HOLD once I get into the 3rd shift...

Flashing HOLD

I had engine problems when I first got the car. Changed the engine, new tranny, but the HOLD to raise the RPM's begins to flash once I get into the 3rd shift (auto car by the way) since the HOLD begins to flash, it will not allow me to reach the 4th shift.
Would could the problem be?
Help PLEASE

He signs for it before it leaves, and you sign for it once you get it, which confirms to the seller that the package was receieved. And why the hell w...

I had a similar problem in my old 85 Jetta.. basically what it seems like to me is that you have oil getting into your air system, which causes the car to give a shake or choke as you said. which can also be the problem for your low RPM's as well. not sure if it's exact with jetta's and mazda's but ...

Who ever owned the car before you did some re-wiring and crossed wires or re-wired it in such a way, that when they put it back together the confused the wiring.
I dont think it should be to hard to fix, but it would be a bit of a challenge finding all the wires 8)
