Adjusting the TPS sounds a bit daunting for someone still rooted in computer geekdom and not car geekdom. But I will look up the Walkthrough and give it a shot!

My MX3 has the exact same problem. Its a 92 5SP with the 1.6L 4CYL. I put a new battery in and it has seemed to not dip as low as before but will still occasionally go from 500rpm while idling to almost zero and them come right back up.
