Been out of the MX3 game for a while, what has changed?

I'm getting back into the game. Finally finished school in Mechanical Engineering.
Now that I am earning some money, I want to get my MX3 painted and back in running condition.

I have some knowledge with carbon fiber. I'm thinking of making a mold for the hood and hatch so I can make them carbon fiber. This will be in the future though. Maybe I can get 3D models for the MazdaSpeed front bumper.

Who still makes aftermarket valve springs and retainers for the V6 MX3?
Do we still have aftermarket support for suspension springs?

Welcome back.

What has changed is that the car has become older and the uprising of Facebook. Now a lot of people only post on there and not on the forum (big shame).

Other than that there are a few die-hards who will always continue their hobby :)

Welcome to the Iron Ring Society! (Spins small iron ring on desk... puts back into drawer...)

Not too much has changed since 2004... Newest KL engines were in Millenias... KLG4s.
We know a lot more about the builds and differences between the engines.

Most guys here can give you a 12 post barrage of the differences between a KLZE and a KLG4, and the KLZE with the Millenia intake...

Corksport stopped supporting the MX3. :-(
Whiteline stopped supporting the MX3. :crying:

Somehow kulluminati found a Mazdaspeed Front swaybar.

Interprep still makes the best springs/cams depending on your setup.
There are a couple guys running around with 12:1 compression ratio N/A engines that haven't blown up yet. ;-)

Lots of turbos seem be to dropping in all over the place... but that's always been the case.

Megasquirt setup has become so much easier... because hundreds of people have done it now.

Oh, and you can get a Carbon Fibre sunroof off Ebay for less than $200. :-)
