Koni Inserts in Tokico blue housing?

I've been trying to figure out if the Koni inserts will fit into a tokico blue strut, but cannot for the life of me find any information about it. I would also rather not have to buy a set of junkyard struts if I don't have to haha
Has anyone ever attempted/tried this?
I can't seem to find anyone who has done it on a compatible car (ie escort, 323 etc.) but I figured someone else might have seen it done somewhere...
Basically I'd rather upgrade then move to a set of gr2s or pay just as much for a new set of blues
I can't cut them open and measure because I need it to DD, they just need to be replaced because they freeze whenever it gets below -20 celcius...
As an aside:
I'm debating coilovers, but I have concerns about the quality of Ksports/D2/XYZ etc. with respect to their reputation on other foums, especially in unfavorable winter (salty+cold) conditions... However it seems like almost everyone views them favorably here
Maybe I should just suck it up and buy them
