I live in Canmore, Alberta...and we flooded bad...the little creek that hardly was wet...became a fierce river took out backyards and parts of the houses that lined the so creek/river. I am find..the water did head for the complex I live in but with the good efforts of the people working on the flood stopped it.

I am hoping the mx-3 people in Alberta plus their family and friends are doing well. My heart goes out to those who have experienced this flood.

Take care.

Hugs...DEB

Glad to hear you are okay. I'm new to Calgary, and would never have guessed that things would get so dramatic when I moved here. Luckily I'm situated in a high neighborhood, so my place/stuff/car was spared. Lots of people are pitching in to help total strangers, so that's good to see! Hope the rest of you are well!

I'm far north and it's hard to believe the south could be in such bad shape. I'm glad the water does not flow the other way.

I have to applaud all the hard work from not only my fellow fire fighters here in Calgary(and surrounding fire department), but Police, EMS and the Army for the first responding they did to make this go as well as it has so far. Then there are the countless volunteers that have helped so many people. I feel bad that people have lost their homes and their stuff because my house wasn't affected. But I think they are doing a great job trying to get people back into their homes as fast and as safely as possible.
Brooks what part of Calgary are you in?

i'm glad to hear that you're fine deb, did your mazda 3 make it?

I wasn't affected either but the zoo that's a 2 minute drive from my place wasn't so lucky and my brother lives in downtown but was luckily just on the edge of the evacuation zone.

My place is over up in Taradale(or Terrordale, as some local members have dubbed it) and it's almost impossible to believe the southern part of the city is flooding from looking at my driveway.

Glad to hear you guys are all doing good.

Thanks Evo-Spec....but I do not have the Mazda any more because of a electrical problem...got rid of it..that was my 2nd Mazda with electrical problems..luckily the guy was able to fix it..no one could fix this one. I have a 2008 Tiburon GT and I love it. The water did not get near her.
