New Intake design

So ive been working on figuring out an optimum intake idea and ran across this, anyone ever seen anything like this done before? Heck PT doesnt even have anything on file, i plan on messaging the owners

Hardly a new intake design. just an elaborate way to get slightly cooler, slightly higher pressure air. Probably doesn't make enough power difference to justify the weight.

They'd have ditched the VAF too seeing as they're running motec or whatever it was.

A different intake manifold would be good but man that would be an effort to create and even then, it would probably perform worse than stock :P

Looks like it is made from thin sheet aluminum. I doubt it weighs any different than the OE rubber hose and airbox setup.

Cal induction is classic and very effective. For me this design is almost pointless as you want to streamline the air coming in. this looks like it adds some sharp edged and bends with the aluminum box. IMO not ideal for the best flowing intake..

Some setups surprise me in gains, some in a bad way, some good. Dyno before after would be a start, doesn't quite have the effect of a moving car though.
