hey guys :)
i've bought a set of 17x8" ET 40 wheels and would like to put on a set of 235/40-17 hankook v12 or eagle f1 tires, does anyone know if those would fit without rubbing?
i've got coilovers so i have a bit more space.

Good chance you will need to space it out. As far as the 235 goes, I'm thinking it will be close.

Seems to be a very tight fit, don't know if you can still turn your wheels to the maximum.

u may not be able to turn the wheels to full lock to lock. I couldnt. But i had 18x8 on 215 35 tires. Plus u have coil overs so you wont have to worry about rubbing on the wide struts. You may be rolling your fenders though

I don't think they will tbh, you don't want to rub away that fuel pipe at the back like Mooneggs did, good choice on the F1's though!

thanks for your answers :)
currently they are fitted with 215/40, but they are bad because the previous owner had an agressive camber, and i've got about 1" of space when its turned all the way over to lock.
i was allready thinking of roling fenders as i have to do some rust on both rear fenders.
i've ordered the eagle f1 asymmetric, if they dont fit i'll make them fit :P

a little update'
the new wheels are fitted, only problem is rear fenders rubbing the tires when going over bumps :?
but that problem can be fixed by bending the the rear fenders inner edge upwards 8)
the ET on the rims is 35 not 40, my bad. but they fit allmost flush :)
