92 mx3 no spark

So heres the story. I bought a 92 mx3 1.6l for 500 bucks car ran when i got it but needed a new clutch badly. So i bought the clutch did the clutch install got everything back together and went to start it and get nothing just cranks and cranks. Ok first thing came to mind was somethings not pluged in double checked tripple checked everything is good. Checked for spark and got nothing. So i checked fuses and everything ground cables all good. next i checked for power at the ignition coil got battery voltage but no spark coming out. Even swapped coils and got the same thing. So finally after not knowing what to do i had it towed to a mazda specialist too look at it. And he said it could possible be the distributor but not sure and im not sure if i want to buy a brand new disty for $400 if its not the problem and i bought the car for $500. So my question is what els could it possibly be before i go out and spend the money to try and get this thing running again i am completley lost on this car and getting frustrated.

Get a dizzy from a wrecker. most have 30 - 90 day warranties. usually about a 100 bucks. could be the the HEI module, it is mounted by the coil. I would go to a wrecker and find what you can first before buying brand new 400 dollar dizzy.

Some specialist. Post in the [WTB] section and maybe someone has a disty for cheap.

can the hei mod be done to replace a bat disty? i know you can on the v6 not sure on the 1.6

im wondering the same thing
my car wont start and its flashing 3 times in odb
it must be my disty i want to mod it to avoid this but i need the car on the road so im going to a junkyard tomorrow. i still want to do this mod because of the faulty ignition coil in the disty so any info would be great i have a 93 rs sohc
