i just need some insight on how to tune the fan. I've already spent time messing with the TPS sensor in mid-timing mode (grid and ten). I've swapped tos to my k8 manifold one. still not working.

klde with KL01ecu and kl02 vaf.

when i plugged in the wires (OBD I) i noticed one wire had no where to plug into next the the green temp senso. could that be the problem? what should i do?. make a dummy switch? id like to avoid the dummy switch.

Does your engine have one or two coolant sensors? If it only has one you'll have to drill the neck and install the second.

I thought that too, but typically, if the ECU is missing a an expected temp sensor, normally the fan runs all the time. Unless something is wired differently/wrong in his setup....

There is only 1. i figured this was the reason also. I hate drilling into s---. DE's in other cars don't have the two sensors like the mx3s do. Where is the other temp.sensor?

Any tips on drilling lol, like, use the k8 sensor and the size of hole.in metric?

Can't remember the size but the sensor threads will tall the tale. While drilling use your shop vac on the coolant spout to suck the drillings out.

You can also use grease on the drill bit and grease on the tap.. This gets the shavings to stick to it rather then fall into unwanted areas...

The extra sensor would normally be by the coolant neck. If you need to install one simply drill the hole on the flat area by the neck. Start to finish it's like a 2 minute job to drill and tap the hole for the sensor. Have a shop vac ready to ensure no metal pieces are left inside.
