Na dont get rid of it!! just shorten the pipes and weld it back together, It would look nice if its lined up straight with the car :D

Nah, dual exhausts don't look all that great in my opinion. I'm happy with my single cannon.

True duals or bust... just saying...

For the record, this is in my plans as well, although not for aesthetics.

Same here. Not a fan. Yes its a v6..but 90% of the time, its not a true dual setup.

would be REALLY cool or even worth it if you had a muffler for each header and not just 2 at the end where its just for looks.............

If your going to do that just tape another muffler on the back and not have it connected to anything

It can be done right just most half @$$ it. I think the look completes the car as long as you make a proper exhaust cutout on the drivers side and use a clean normal looking tip. who cares if you Y pipe it. Its not hurting anything but weight.

True duals for bragging rights, and to make PaceSetters sound like HotShots. Better performance, better sound, at the cost of maybe 20 extra sprung pounds, depending on what you use... People like to say "OMGZ ITLL BE HEAVIER", but those people are imagining the use of 2.5" pipe for each cylinder bank. -.-

You'd be using more like dual 1.5" or 1.75" pipe. Dual 1.5" pipe would have ~30% more surface area than single 2.5" pipe, which at equal thickness would be ~30% more weight(assuming it's the same type of steel). Consider that you'd be removing the heavy PaceSetter collector, in exchange for 2 smaller pipes, likely without catalytic converters(c'mon, the people likely to run true duals would bribe their tester anyways, am I right?), and small-ish mufflers in the rear, since the piping wouldn't demand a 2.5" inlet and a 4" outlet.

You MIGHT add 20 pounds that way, depending on your choice of mufflers and resonators... Add 20 pounds to your car, with 3-5 WHP, and tell me you've cost any performance. Please.
