He would use a U.S. bumper if he could, he filled his foglight holes to make it as similar as possible. I think he meant by expanding the center, to allow more airflow to the radiator, and therefor better cooling. It actually looks pretty good, check out his worklog!

Yeah, it looks really snazzy, I'd expand the center of mine but I lack the skills and I don't want to risk chopping up my Euro bumper
