K1 Rods and stock Rods weighed!

Post by SuperK »

My K1's came in the mail. I put them on my scale. But not my Male Scale, the Mail Scale. Pictures taken on scale. But not to scale.

Verdict:

K1's are about 10 grams lighter.

Don't leave your new rods out of the packaging too long. They will get all corroded. You don't want to get scale on your scale. Did you get those rods on sale? What about that scale? Was the scale on sale?

I got the scale on sale before it went stale. The rods on sale but the pistons on sail and may get scale. I plan to get the mail before the skell grabs the shell of the package that hold the pistons with the scale from the sail. I'll put it on the scale that I got for sale, but i'll keep it in the package so none of them get stale.

They weren't on "sale" but they offer them very slightly discounted when you get the rod/pistons as a kit.

have not installed them yet. But the weights aren't accurate. Stupid scale is only +/- 5grams accurate. stupid scale.

Bail on the failed frail scale. It should be in jail. But, don't let it be this tale's coffin nail, as those who want to know might wail. The comparison will still pail. Don't curtail, prevail!

Not sure where you got yours from or how much you paid but when i bought mine i got them from http://www.importperformanceparts.net/. That was the cheapest place i could find them and they were quick with the shipping.
As far as the pin diameter is concerned....you can order them in whatever pin size you choose. You just need to make sure to order them sized to whichever pistons you have. I happened to already have weisco pistons on millenia s rods so, when i ordered my k1 rods i got them with the 21mm pin diameter to match my pistons. If you have pistons with the stock pin diameter then you would want to order the rods with a 20mm pin (i think that's the stock size).
Also, I had everything balanced and have the printout of all the weights of everything. I'll try to find it and I'll post the weights that they gave me. Their scale is accurate down to .001 grams so that should clear up any discrepancies over the on sale sail scale tale. :D
