Hi all,
93mx3 v6 1.8l. I'm getting the egr code. I want to take it off and try cleaning it, looked today but couldn't find it!! I checked under the airbox, under the disty well, basically anywhere I could see without crawling under the car
Is that where it is? Underneath?
I have to get an emissions test in a few Weeks so I need to find this thing and deal with it.

The EGR valve is on the back of the engine down from the throttle body. A real pain to get at if you leave everything in place. If you crawl under your car, look at the rear exhaust manifold. There is a small tube threaded into it on the drivers side. Follow that tube up and the other end is your EGR valve.

Ya from the top you have to remove the battery shelf and the intake from the throttle body on out. It's a pain for sure. Seafoam my help, give it a try first.
