[FS] 1994 Mazda MX-3 with 2.5 liter KL-DE swap

Post by tbondo »

Wouldn't allow me to post in For Sale thread so I put it in here.

Up for sale is my MX-3 with the 2.5 KL-DE V6 and 5 speed transmission. The body has 182,xxx miles and the motor has a fresh rebuild (with papers) with less than 100 miles. Car was purchased in Texas 11 years ago and has never seen snow. No rust. Body is in good condition for 18 years old. Just has minor dings, dents, scratches.
Performance additions:
• Full header back exhaust. Probe addiction headers, high flow magnaflow cat, 2-1/4” exhaust, and magnaflow muffler
• Custom 3” air intake
• Car has been lowered on Dropzone coilovers and KYB struts
• Has front and rear strut tower bars. (Front not shown in picture. Has been reinstalled)
• Adjustable short shifter
New components:
• ACT Stage 1 clutch
• Front brakes (pads and rotors)
• Front wheel bearings
• Front sway bar links
• Front cv axles along with axle transmission seals
• Power steering pump
• Front and rear oxygen sensors
• PCV valve
• Coolant temp sensor
• Passenger side motor mount
• Probe Addiction headers
• Magnaflow high flow catalytic convertor
The car currently has 01-03 Honda Civic projector headlights installed. Original headlights are available. Front bumper cover was modified to fit due to plans to install custom body kit. Car will come with complete Aggressive body kit, custom carbon fiber wing, and rear disc brake conversion. These are currently not installed. I also have a set of altezza taillights that will go with the car. The seal on the passenger side went bad and leaked water. Seal will need to be fixed.

The bad:
• Motor has a hesitation when under heavier throttle. Been told this could be the distributor
• Needs new transmission speed sensor. Speedometer currently not functioning

$2500 or Best Offer - All offers will be considered. The worst I can say is no.

I don't have the means to finish the project to its fullest, so I'd like to offer it up to a fellow enthusiast.
I'd like to post a few pics but I can't figure out how to. If you're interested I'd be glad to email you what you'd like to see.

I figured since I can't grasp how to post pics on the website, I would post a link to my Craigslist ad which has a few pics.

I have to admit I'm a little suprised I haven't had any comments of interest in my clean MX-3. So I have to ask am I asking too much, no one around Minnesota?

I think because users already have an MX, unless its pretty cheap (to do a fix-up job), there often isn't all that much interest in purchases of whole cars... Also, the timing & location of things must all align, which it doesn't 9 times out of 10!
At least, that's my experience on here & the Australian forum for these cars...

Indeed it's hard to sell a car on a forum when pretty much all here are already owers.

Yeah I kinda figured that but thought it was worth a shot. Maybe someone wanted another project that was mostly complete just needing a little tuning.

Car still needs a new home if anyone is interested. This is a great deal with all that is included. Just needs final fine tuning.

I have decided to try and split the sale of some items if anyone is interested. The body kit, spoiler, and rear disc setup is up for a separate sale. Unless these items sell they will also be included with the sale of the whole car. Below is a link to my other Craigslist ad

You know what they say, Ford is a four letter word.
