No, no, that's only search worthy, I cannot validate that question fot the Quick Question thread, considering there are answers to that question in threads in the first page of this section
No they dont, stop spreading bs.cWs306 wrote:kl31 ecus run crappy
cWs306 where do you get your information? Where the fu*k did you hear KL31s run crappy and Kl36s are better? If the truth be known all ECUs runs crappy with the curved neck (millenia) ZE. Even probinator chip ecu's. After market fuel control is the only real solution. My 96 ECU/ZE ran great but then we're talking OBD2.Nd4SpdSe wrote:No they dont, stop spreading bs.cWs306 wrote:kl31 ecus run crappy
Your experience with your Kl31 does not reflect the hundreds if not thousands of people who have used the KL31/JE50 successfully.
They dont run crappy, it's just the VRIS points that are affected, which doesn't make the motor run poorly, you just lose a few hp here and there in the powerbandDaninski wrote:If the truth be known all ECUs runs crappy with the curved neck (millenia) ZE.
Actually I've seen the dyno that compares with and without. Power starts to drop off right before the VRIS changes because it's changing later than it's suppose to. With the proper VRIS points, it's much smoother and looks less like a heartrate monitor.SuperK wrote:FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!
I think with the milli manifold, you lose some here, you gain some there... I would say it's different, not better/worse. It's all heresay anyway.
Always runs rich, 92-95 years with curved neck intake. Crappy in my books. Anyway I was talking fuel only as my post indicated. I stand by crappy, mileage is bad as well proving my point. VRIS points are irrellevant, even with them set crappy crappy crappy. In all the years this issue has never been resolved except by using after market fuel management. That's all I'm saying. My engine idles and runs fine but it still running rich. No one has ever found out and could explain why except possibly to blame the curve neck manifold. So, how is your dog slow RX8 running.Nd4SpdSe wrote:They dont run crappy, it's just the VRIS points that are affected, which doesn't make the motor run poorly, you just lose a few hp here and there in the powerbandDaninski wrote:If the truth be known all ECUs runs crappy with the curved neck (millenia) ZE.
