hey i have a 1993 gs with the k8 i want to know how to swap the klze in i know u have to use the mx6 tranny and need the kl31 or kl36 do u have to swap any cannectors what injectors do i use what wheel axels do i use the mx3 ones or the mx6 does the engine harnes from the k8 match up. any help is appreciated thanks

You've already got at least one thing wrong. You need to do some reading. You're not going to get a lot of help if you don't show that you can at least get the basics figured out on your own.

Man, those are very, very, very basic questions. You need to do a little bit of research. That those answers are as plentify as my post count, so try a little bit. As SuperK pointed out the FAQ is a very good place to start, and the Search is your friend....

you dont 'HAVE' to use the mx6 transmission

i have the MX3 Transmission with my KLZE but most people will switch there 5th gear to the 626 or the mx6 or probe gear set because of the longer ratio that allows a better highway fuel mileage.

also the axles will depend on what transmission you are using!

as for connectors etc.. Research --- the search function works well ---

also there is a UK.MX3 page that has good info aswell about the swap .

No, makes no difference if your using an Mx-3, Mx-6, 626 or Probe trans, you use the Mx-3 axles. The only time you use other axles is if you get a JDM LSD trans, that's it!

Except that he thinks that the transmission you use will dictate what axels you use...which Mike pointed out is not the case.

sorry guys they are right about all axles are the same minus the JDM LSD transmission.

and i thought most here did do the 5th gear swap - sorry -

and i need to make more helpful hints and tips and post more topics that are meaningful to make my post count higher - over 53 - mabey if i had over 1000 id know more about the mx3 .

ive owned 5 mx3's so far and swaped out 3 of the k8 engines for KLDE's
and my current DD was daninskis red KLZE that he swaped

thank you for the clarification about the axles i dont want to give false info to other memebers . just it was to my memory that there were two types of axles offered not just stage 1 2 3 etc..

No problem. You can get Stage-whatever axles for whatever cars you have, it depends on how much power you're putting down. If your OEM axles are in good shape, they'll have no problem using your originals....unless your running a turbo or have extremely heavy rims (ala Trevor). Check with your local parts supplier, some even come with a lifetime warranty
