I was under the impression that with stock lugs you can't install spacers without compromising a varying amount of safety when using stock lugs. If someone can correct me please tell me otherwise.

you may be right. i was just wondering if you could get away with 5mm or whatever. no biggie, ill just replace my studs... i was planning on spacers only for the rears only, and they are alot easier to access then the fronts...

unless you are getting bigger breaks or something you wont notice 5mm visually i had 25 mm spacers and my GS flower rims sat flush with the fender if thats what your looking for

this is something I keep meaning to measure : I mean 6 turns on the lug nut is its limit so if you did all four nuts upto six turns then pulled the wheel forward and measured the gap between the wheel and the hub you would know how much you could get away with.
5mm to 10mm on mine could be the difference between scrubbing the tyre or not!

on stock studs i wouldnt push it out anything further then 3mm. otherwise you'll need the longer studs.

Lower than snake sheet in a tire rut.

Ya, usually the rule of thumb is one full turn of thread showing past the nut.

My GS has 5mm on the fronts with stock studs. works just fine, I would not go more than that. I have HnR 10mm and 15mm for the AWD car with new studs.
3mm on stock studs would be safe, 5mm i wonder about. The guy who had my car before did AutoX and had no issues with the 5mm whatsoever. I have driven it 6K miles with them on thus far and no issues.
