What Fowljesse did in hiatus..

being back on the forums feels like I hadn't been off as long as I had. I was thinking about what I've done in the mean time.
As some of you know, I am.. unconventional
A few things off the top of my head.
I told a group of fire performers that I could do stiltwalking, so they called me on it. I learned to stiltwalk, and play with fire at the same time, so I could get a discount ticket into Burning man. In this process, I tripped over a stray hula hoop, and almost broke my hand. I also caught the upper 1/3 of myself on fire, burning off a lot of my hair, and causing all degrees of burns. There's a high resolution close up video of it that I can't bring myself to watch, still. I am training in stilt acrobatics; actually tossing people around, while on stilts.
I built an artcar and brought it to burning Man. I turned my 34 foor Winnebago into a Silver Phoenix, with a 27" X 8.5" lower dance floor with 2 gogo boxes, and an upper dancefloor made of Plexiglas, and a stripper pole, so you could watch people dance above you. If you know about what people wear to Burning Man, you'll know how exciting that is. We had limited admittance to the upper level ;) I bought a nice travel trailer for Burning Man, and painted it silver. I've been doing my usual parkour, in less than usual places (on moving trains, in a HUGE paper mill..)

Oh.. I taught myself aerial acrobatics with fire on chains. You've probably seen people do aerial acro on fabric. I was like that, mostly..
I turned down a private invitation to audition for "America's Got Talent" because the contract was ridiculous.

At Burning Man, I tried for my 3rd appearance in the Guinness Book, and haven't heard back, yet. This was a group thing; The World's largest smiley face, made of people. I was a teardrop, because I'm completely silver when I'm there.

I joined my girlfriend's company, selling high end vintage clothes online. I now own clothes that are worth more than all of my vehicles :confused2:

That's all I can think of right now.

You know, It's kind of silly; I don't have pics of The Silver Phoenix on the Playa. I'll find some of it when it was finished, and had my travel trailer hooked up, just before leaving for the desert.
Yes, there are pretty girls around ;) I would whither away, otherwise.
Here's a clip of me hanging from chains with fire. I am at 1:50: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-a3HtcZEPjs It's just a short clip of my first performance.

I just remembered that, just about 2 months ago, I chased down a teen aged girl who was high that hit a woman in a crosswalk. I saw the whole thing. Fortunately, it was raining. I think the woman would have died, otherwise. I chased the girl who was driving a Honda Accord, with my girlfriend's Vibe, and eventually pinned her into a parking space. She got away on foot, because I decided not to tackle a girl, but she was caught about 3 weeks later. When she hit the woman, she slowed down, as if she was going to stop, and I was going to go to the hurt woman. I was in the opposing traffic. When I saw the girl take off, I gunned it, and did an E-brake turn, because I knew the Vibe wouldn't make the turn, otherwise. I caught up to her, so she went into a parking lot. I didn't want to hit the lot at the speed she was going, so I slowed down a little, giving her time to park, and jump out. I had an overwhelming sense of regret that I didn't grab, and hold her, but it worked out, and hopefully, they will prosecute the guy who immediately came and picked her up, before the Cops got there.

People like that belong in the ground. Whenever I see someone driving dangerously, I hope to myself that they are the only casualty when their luck runs out. Nobody else deserves to die over their stupidity...

A close friend of mine was in a car accident a few years ago. He was stopped at a red light, and a teen girl in a large pickup slammed into his right rear corner, which in turn launched his car onto the sidewalk, killing a young girl and seriously maiming her mother. The teenage driver was texting behind the wheel, and ruined 3 lives in a moment of stupidity. Police estimated her speed at 60, the legal limit was 35.

Garnished wages for life, never able to drive again, and a criminal record. She deserved worse.
