Painting Stock Rims

Just wondering if many of you have painted your stock rims. I have seen a couple people do it, but I can't find many pictures, even using the search. My stock rims are getting kind of rough, and I don't have the cash for rims at the moment, so I'm contemplating painting the stock rims for the time being.

I painted my honey combs. I did an extremely rough job, I didn't sand anything, no primer, just threw on some spray paint. Even during winter they lasted nicely. Only thing that even chipped them was when I hit a curb I chipped up the lip a little. I'll dig up some pictures in a sec.
My camera sucks so this is the best I've got of the honeycombs:

They don't look too bad. I'm curious what white would look like.

Five spokes would like sweet white, I'm not sure about the honey combs though. If properly primed and finished I'm sure it would look good though.
