Really I am curious why everyone keeps saying they are plastic, both sets I've received have been glass. Although on a serious note, I may be tempted to sell them seperately if i don't get any offers on the black car, then just scrap the thing. Unless of course you want another mx for $900

jdm headlamps where plastic. edm where glass. that is basically how mazda rolled on all cars.

I guess I could be wrong but I've never seen a JDM set (from Japan) that are glass. It was my understanding that EDM (from Germany, Netherlands and other european countries) sets are glass (LHD). The UK has a few Autozam AZ-3 and Eunos Presso imports from japan so some of those sets are plastic... but all the mazda mx-3 sets over there are glass as well (RHD).

I'm not sure what Australia got... probably plastic H4?

They're right, JDMs are plastic.

I'm actually keeping my housings, but I will probably buy glass lenses sometime down the road... The plastic on mine is clear though, SuperK kept them clean! I'm grateful man.

Indeed, I believe what Mooneggs says is correct.

Only european cars have a glass lens.

I thought the housing is also an exact match. The only thing i'm not sure about is the bulb mounting.

Wow lots of response. JDM were all plastic Euro's were glass I am looking for JDM lights because I don't want to pay big bucks for euro's, as i don't need the lenses. Preferably an un-motorized set would be perfect. E spec and JDM use the same housings but different lenses

I am in the middle of building two sets of lights one for the RS and one for the GS.
The GS will get un-motorized e spec glass lenses and the RS is getting a custom Frankenstein set of the motorized Euro housings, Egay projectors lenses, and Bi-xenon projectors. for a nice clean un egay look

For the record, E-Specs can be plastic OR glass lenses. J-Spec are all plastic.

This is from what MoonEggs and others have confirmed for me, after my confusion last year.

I have a set, but in mint condition, and asking $200cad for them.
