[WTB] Speedometer cable/Electric Conversion

I need it for my '92 RS. I've searched high and low and I couldn't find so much as a part number.

I'm not sure if it's one cable or if it's two cables with one that connects to the tranny and another coming from the cluster and both these cables hook up in the middle. Either way, no junkyards around my area have it. If anyone has one in working condition, let me know.

it'll be a single cable thing that goes from your tranny to the cluster and there'll be a hole in the firewall for it and a grommet on the cable to plug the hole
any car with an F-series tranny should work, like the 323.

i'm not actually sure if that'd work but it does look like it's right, besides the fact it's missing the grommet for the firewall but that's a small easily fixable issue.
i'm actually curious too because i think 70" is longer than the one i pulled out of the 92 MX-3 for my car that doesn't quite each in my 94. humm...

oh, which brings me to another question, do you have no junkyards around you with mx-3's or 323's in them?

 I WISH! ironically, Newark is a quick 15 minute drive, and the iron belt district is loaded with junkyards.....but no MX-3's or 323's (last MX3 I saw at a junkyard was a complete car for sale, not for parts).

There's a '93 RS at my local JY atm, I could take a peak for you if you would like.

A heads up though, if it won't fit into a pocket, they will charge a lot for it. They wanted $100 for a GS spoiler. They also refuse to believe the RS garnish isn't a "performance spoiler"

:bump:

I saw a work log where the mechanical element was switch with an electrical one. If someone has the cable or the parts I need to convert to electrical let me know. I have both styles of gauges so I'm good to go either route.
