[WTB] Hood - Michigan

Well, getting everything to line up did not work out so well. See:

viewtopic.php?p=594718#p594718

As a result of rust around the latch in the hood, I can't get the hood to close properly so it's time for the obligatory "we rear ended another car and need a hood" post.

Don't care about color at this point, but I don't want to travel far. Let me know what you have got!!!

Thanks....

Just for your info I tried to ship a hood and found it next to impossible unless you want to pay BIG BUCKS.

Last time I shipped hood it was around $120-150 depending on size, it was years ago and probably much more now.

We have had great luck with Greyhound. Doesn't cross borders to/from Canada yet, but we shipped an Impreza RS trunk (less wing) from suburban Detroit to Las Vegas for $58 and it got there in three days. A hood would be a lot more due to its size. The trunk only weighed 15 lbs. and the paperwork could not have been easier.

Buyer got a call when it arrived and picked it up the same day. Depending where you live, this could be easy or a pain in the neck. If Greyhound has a depot, then they can accept packages.

If there is a suburban station (totally stereotyping here because I get a sense that not a lot of us are urban dwellers - I might be wrong) then it is really easy because the stations are small and everything is really informal.

There is a pretty good website set up, but call the station and go there for the final bill....others have talked about it here, but we used it. And it was good!!
