this past summer my drivers side auto seat belt broke, and im getting tired of looking at the seat belt light.

Did it just come out of the track? If so call your dealer and ask them to set up an appointment to change it under a saftey recall at no charge.

It came out of the track but the part that the belt clips into is stuck all the way toward the back of the car. The dealership will still honor the recall even tho the car is 18 yrs old?

They will probably jerk you around a bit about it, but they are legally obligated

I have a 1993 MX-3 that I just took in a couple months ago to a Mazda dealer and they replaced the drivers side assembly at no charge. They were also going to replace the passenger side, but I didn't really need it as I just drove it to/from work by myself.

It's Mazda, remember! They honored mine only last year, although they made a mess of my interior. Grease stains and they broke the clip mounts on the driver side pillars. Definitely take pictures of your car inside and out before having them do any *free* work.
