My gf was driving to the coffee stand down the road in her lowered civic & it was raining so hard she didn't see a huge rock. So much for the jb weld.

She drove it back with no oil pressure guess it'd still do 30mph. Those 100hp honda motors are solid. No ticking no visible damage top or bottom of engine. I doubt my klde would survive 30 seconds without oil. Still hate the civic though its so gutless & uncomfortable not to mention everybody & their mom has one.

I'm pretty confident KL's can't go 5 seconds without oil.

Will insurance cover the damages, or are you just gonna slap a new pan on it and call it good?

I dunno bout the oil comments on the K series motors. My old K8 would run 2-3 quarts low for weeks and was still fine when I took it out. I always use/d Mobile1 Synth in it and think that helped a lot.

I just picked up the pan for $15 at the wrecker down the street, at any given time they'll have 5-10 civics & 0-0 mx-3s. I need to put some fog lights on there so she can see better this isn't the first time she's ran crap over since I put the h&r springs on (3" drop) .

+1 I know guys that before doing the KLZE swap ran the K8 without oil for like an hour to try and kill it and it wouldn't die.

I had an old 83' civic and the water pump disintegrated on the drive home one day...so I just drove it home. Never even got that hot. No damage to the engine whatsoever. Honda makes an amazing engine.
