Anyone of you feel like you just repaired the whole car?

Post by Dark_Rider2k3 »

So Within the past year I've felt like I've completely repiared the whole car. To list what I've done since July 2010:

New engine
Transmission
Axles/Half shaft
Alternator
A/C Compressor
serpentine belts
Timing Belt/tensioners/water pump
Spark plugs
wires
Engine bay wiring harness
ECU
vac. hoses
shifter linkage
short shifter
clutch master/slave cylinders
clutch
flywheel
shifter fork

And then after the engine swap:

upper/lower radiator hoses
heater hoses
rear strut mounts (had already 2 years before this replaced the struts)
ball joints
tie bars
front calipers
corksport SS brake lines
replaced all brake/fuel lines
new tires
cat-back exhaust, and new flex pipe

there is probably a bit more but yeah.. I feel like in 1 year I have a whole new car lol.

anyone else have a similar story?

I do need a new front bumper though. I hit a really big racoon who decided he hated my bumper and cracked it good.

Man, I replaced those SAME EXACT THINGS (minus the hoses, tie bars, alternator and wiring harness) within the last year, and I got the transmission about 2 1/2 years ago.

But add to your list:

Springs
Struts
Strut mounts
Strut bar
E-brake cables
Brake master cylinder
Cold air intake
Radiator fan
Exhaust resonator

And this doesn't include the knicks and knacks that come with repairing a system:
(ie Cooling: thermostat, sensors. ie A/C receiver drier. ie Exhaust: O2 sesnor, etc etc)
