Alternator belt woes...

Okay so i'm having this.. odd issue... not odd for me as I always have stupid crap going on (i swear cars hate me =(...)
The issue is that I keep burning off alternator belts. Plain and simple. I've been through 3 belts in a year. (my third belt I smelled it burning today so I know it's going to burn out). I have checked my tension numerous times and I just can't understand why..
The alternator charges fine up until the belt starts to burn.. around 14V charging.. and the water pump works fine, no leaks, and spins freely. Keeps the engine nice and cool. When I start to smell the belt burning the alternator drops down to 12V.
In case you didn't know, this is the EGT BP with the V-ribbed belt.
