Driver's side axle replacement Question 92 RS

92' MX-3 RS (20 Years old in December!) 5Spd 149,000m.

Trying to replace the driver's side axle. What's the best way to go about this? I've read the shop manual and alldata. They're the same.. Remove Tie Rod / Lower Ball Joint / stabilizer links. I'm having some trouble with the stabilizer link nuts from all the rust. The bolts/nuts seem stuck together so turning them turns the ball joint.
I'm wondering if I took off the strut bolts if I'd have enough wiggle room to remove and insert the new axle? I've seen this talked about in other threads from searching, but for the V6 (not entirely sure they're different but wanted to check).

Worst case.. I could probably buy a torch and heat the nut/bolt and then try more some.

Thanks for your time.

Yeah, I think that's all I do, is unhook the tie rod end, and remove the 2 strut bolts, and you can turn the spindle enough to slide the cv axle out. But if your parts are all rusty, might be a good idea to replace all those parts like tie rod ends, ball joints, link bushing kits, etc.

I never took that stuff apart, the less I have to pull apart the better :)

Ha. Much easier getting the axel outta the hub. Not much room to angle too many things to get the shaft out of the tranny. Best to rent an axel pulling I'm guess?

I took the battery out to try from the top, no dice there either.
