Coil pack conversion

I've seen a few members do coil pack conversions does it have better spark capabilities? and how can I do this conversion & it looks like a Buick Regal GS coil packs and how do they wire it in?

You need an engine management system, it can't be done with a stock ECU.

Coilpacks people use are from mazda 626 or ford cougar/mondeo. There's 3 coils in each pack, as opposed to 1 in the disty, so spark should improve. It's been more reliable that distributor based for me.

Ya, the later model 626 used coilpacks, but you would have to swap that whole harness and ECU.
Really, the only way at this point is coilpacks with Megasquirt or going coil-on-plug
