Rear squeaks when hitting a bump

I have a small problem when going over a bump, I get a rear squeak from either trim panels or hatch. Has anyone encounter this squeak? I just install rear wytbushings and it did it before as well so couldn't have been the rear bushings. Any help would be appreciated.

If youve checked your suspension and shock mounts try this.

Hey thanks, yeah the rear upper strut mounts are new and shocks, springs and spring-seats. As well I just did all new rear bushings. I thought it might have been the trunk trim but I checked it all and it seems fairly fastened. I'll try the hinges and see if it goes any. I would have never of thought of the hinges though and thanks.

Got the new hinges took like 3 weeks to get them in from Japan. I installed them and the squeaks went away. Thanks

WTH...
The hinges, that makes so much sense!!!!

I've been trying to pin point this crap for months as well, and I think it's the solution for mine too.

Holly Cow, I knew it was my hatch that squeaked but didn't think that it was the hinges. I just figured it squeaked because of the stiff suspension. Good to know!

Well I've heard a sound in the right rear for some time now, and actually my hatch hinge(right side) was loose... I would have never thought to look there, with so many other alternatives in the suspension.

got some more bad news and good

Well it started squeaking again so I went strait back to the hinges and guess what it was loose so I lock tight the bottom nuts and It went away again.

So I think the problem is the tight suspension loosens them off after some hard bumps and with half of Toronto ripped up it didn't take long for it to loosen again. So I'll see if my lock tight works all keep you all informed.

Hmm well there you go! I had annoying squeaking, turned out to be the boot lock mechanism. The coating on the catch had worn away letting metal on metal contact. Must investigate my hinges now too.

I found the real cause of my squeak problem today while bolting in a Strut bar in the rear... It was the plastic flap in the trunk, on the passenger side. The little rubber pad was sliding against the plastic trim in the back, creating a subtle, but annoying squeak.
I pulled the flap tonight while test driving the car, and sure enough the sound went away. Talk about unexpected.

this was always my issue... I usually wrap a few strips of gorilla tape or duck tape and it alleviates it so that there is no room for play (=squeak).
