No, the MX3 B6DE block has two extra oil ports on the exhaust side of the block, without plugging those off a miata head gasket will not work. sorry, do you have a Napa around, they can usually get parts same or next day.

if it's pouring oil in the exhaust, it's probably your rings. In all four failed head gaskets, I have noticed that it either burns coolant, or the combustion pressurizes the coolant system causing it to overheat. pouring oil is def. going to be your rings, not HG. It won't hurt, but don't expect it to help much

It is probably not oil leaking into the exhaust. it's what i said, there are TWO extra oil ports on the DE block and head that the Miata ZE motor does not have. SO if you used a Miata head gasket you would have a bunch of oil poring out behind your exhaust manifold onto the floor.
If it was bad rings he would not be getting white smoke out the tail pipe it would be Blue.
if you compare the two gaskets side by side they are very different, coolant passages and oil.
Edit:
Reason I know this is because I bought a completely built B6DE motor from someone on the forums years ago. it had never been run... well after i got it installed same thing after start up. pulled the head and wrong gasket completely, took two weeks to get the proper one.
If you notice here on the front of the block two extra oil ports. the Miata block and head gasket do not have these, it just runs straight across.
