carpet differences

Not sure If anyone else has ever talked about this but I just finished putting carpet in my car from a CAD model. The only real modifications I had to do to it to make it perfect was cut out squares where the holes for the CAD styled lower seat belt mounts went and trim around where the USA center seat belt assembly is. I know its not a lot of info but hell knowledge is power.

Now on to another topic about this. I noticed the CAD model has cut sections under each seat for?? On mine there is a little box under the driver side that runs 2 wires to the seat but the box dose not line up with the cuts. My passenger side doesn't have anything for the cuts lol.

The main point of me looking into this is mainly just to learn about the other versions of the mx-3.

Oh boy, I never even thought about the differences.

there should also be an extra hole in the rear footwells against the outside for the manual seat belt rail.

One of the cuts on the PS may have been made by the car's PO to fit amp wiring beneath it, I bought it with an amp beneath the seat, serial # scratched off...

Haha All is good Ryan. I got it to work and I don't mind a few extra holes. I'll still buy from you again :] If someone ask It makes for a little story :D

The ABS is stored under the seats =o didn't know that lol

I currently have 94 carpet (from my first mx-3) in my 92... There are slits under both seats as well, but they are under the seats so it didn't matter... I think that up near the front section the plastic is lower in the 94 so I had to spray underneath black otherwise I would have been able to see part of the side of the middle raised section near the pedals.

The difference is found in the 93-94 change. The 93's have the auto seat belts and therefore have the rocker cutout in the carpet for the lap belt. Also, the 93 had slits under the carpet to accommodate the electronics for the auto seat belts.

Canadian cars never had auto seatbelts.

But the plastic by the ECM changes with the dash.

It must have been a factory order then. It wasn't standard.
