Use the search function, the answer is no, it doesn't bolt in.

Don't think anyone has bothered with that swap anyway.

And you only need to make one thread, 90% of us browse by new posts.

the probe 2.5 won't direct bolt in either. You'd need trans, linkage, MX-3 v6 axles, whole wiring harness, ecm and a lot more. The general consensus is its easier to sell your car and get a v6 than to swap over, since you pretty much need a donor car anyway.

KL swap in a 4 cyl is complicated. Search. You'll see its been discussed hundreds of times.

Search "BP swap", you don't need a whole Protege.

Fail advice  ...

Search found 2889 matches
Search term used: bp swap
ignored: swap

First thread is picked because of the URL of a picture has a bp in its random address... not even a relevant thread.

ok so i was lookin at a few different things. n i was wondering wat does the 323 have in it for a motor, bc i found one cheap as hell that i can buy as long as i c it runs n drives. then i dont have to chance something being wrong with a motor from u-pull-it on a car that was rear ended or something. i can take wat i need off of it, idc if i dont need the whole car, then i have it for wat i might need off of it, n i can scrap the rest, its not a big deal of "wat do i do with the shell now" sort of thing.

i appreciate it

Oops, was a little too specific in that information

"Search around for BP swap information. Try this stickied thread to start

Better?

OK in the OP you stated a 93' Ford probe Turbo kinda weird... they stooped producing the turbo model in 92, and it can fit into the MX it just needs some finesse. a 93 probe 2.0 motor will still fit but its not worth the hassle as it only comes with 115HP, so your better off going with the BP. the F2T is not a direct swap, but if you have the donor car right there then it makes it easy. motor mounts, and GS axles is about it with the ecu and wiring of course. a little more complex with the wiring is all.

come on guys if your going to give someone advice and then tell them to search you should do the same. the Probe turbo is a F2T motor some of you may know its cousin, known as the FE3... Great platform it will fit.

Ya, I think I've been doing that a little blindly lately. I think it's just with him he was asking random questions if a Probe KL or the F2T will fit in an Mx-3 that I just skimmed and told him to YTFS. I gave him a blind answer for his blind questions.

well yea i am jumpin around a little with random questions, thats only bc im findin great deals on different things that r around my area like the kl probe and the f2t, thats y i ask if they will fit with a reasonable amount of work. but im not tryin for the kl anymore since u guys told me not to mess with it since my car is a 4cyl shell. i need to get the mx-3 up and runnin again tho so i can drive it, n i cant find a tranny for it at u pull it, but im gonna go check again, i havent been there in a while. but if i can swap in a bp or something like that pretty easily, ill look for that too n just swap motor and tranny. bc right now im stuck with my gas guzzler gettn about 5 mpg in the city, which sucks for me bc gas isnt cheap anymore!!!

Ok bud, cheapest thing you can do is find a KIA Sophia at a u pull, grab the engine, tyranny, and both axes, and motor mouns of course. I have picked this combo up from a pick a part and paid less than 300 bucks. It's a Mazda VP and G series tyranny But the KIA tyranny has 2extra spine count on the axels they are bigger than the Mazda g series trannys of that time.
