I went to get my car aligned today, they aligned it charged me, and when I was driving away my wheel was still off. I had them go to look at it and they said my rack bushings need to be replaced. They will realign it for free once I have fixed it. I have looked online basic google search, napas website, and o'rielys web site and have not found them. I was going to check the junk yards tomorrow, but I would prefer to get them new. Does anyone know where to find the rack bushings. Thank you everyone.

I just checked at rock auto and did not see it, I was planing to call Mazda tomorrow. Also does an escort, 323, or protege share the same steering rack, or similar enough where the bushing would be interchangeable?

All the ones you just mentioned should. Don't bother calling Ford though, the quit stocking parts for cars that are 10 years old or something equally ridiculous.

I called Mazda and I can buy the whole rack with the bushings, I went to a pull it yourself junk yard and found a pair, I managed to grab one and will have to go back tomorrow for the next one (only had a short time from school to work) I hate doing all that work just to put used ones on, but I guess I will have too. The guy working did not even know what to charge me so at least they were free :) .
